Fruška Gora Bike Tour

2.Fruška Gora Bike Tour

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 16 reviews · 6 hours (approx.) · from $106

Spend about six hours cycling from Belgrade through Sremski Karlovci and Fruška Gora National Park. Milan, Zoran, or another Bike Adventure Belgrade guide matches the route to your ability, with bikes, helmets, snacks, water, transport, and a monastery visit included.

“This was a great out of Belgrade experience. Our guide Milan was friendly and knowledgeable. Milan is a REAL biker and he was prepared to take us on something more challenging but when he saw we were more in a sightseeing mode he adjusted our itinerary and made the ride really pleasurable. I am living in Belgrade for the next 7 months and will definitely do this trip again with visiting family. As for logistics - he arrived a few minutes early to my apartment, the bikes were fine, and he provided little rucksacks that came with some fruit and water. A wonderful experience.”

Spend eight hours with an English-speaking guide exploring Novi Sad, Petrovaradin Fortress, Fruška Gora, Krušedol Monastery, and Sremski Karlovci. You will also taste Bermet wine at Živanović Winery. Guides such as Miloš, Novica, Stefan, and Novika are praised for clear history and lively conversation.

“I would not usually pay £140+ for a guided tour, but it was one to one and Novika is a special guide. He is a polymath of great knowledge and humour and as such, my day was filled with insights into Balkan history, economics, wine, bee keeping, Balkan cuisine, music, architecture, politics etc. It was a splendid day and one which enriched my understanding of not only Serbia but the Balkan Peninsula in general. Not only that, but Novika obviously keeps himself well informed about global issues and has a passion for his work, the like of which, I have rarely seen. Top man, Top day!”

From Novi Sad, your private English-speaking tour visits Novo Hopovo, Grgeteg, and Krušedol monasteries, then Sremski Karlovci’s Orthodox landmarks and the Živanović wine and beekeeping museum. Expect about five to six hours, an air-conditioned vehicle, and a tasting of seven wines and three honeys.

“The monasteries and the landscape were impressive and beautiful. But the tour guide had very little to say. That was disappointing. He was more of a driver than a tour guide.”

“This trip was brilliant. Angela our driver and guide was extremely knowledgeable, informative, friendly and professional. Her driving was also very confident, reassuring and comfortable. We started the day at a monastery- Velika Remeta in Fruska Gora National Park. This had a stunningly beautifully painted interior, in a serene and peaceful setting. Novi Sad is a beautiful city. We took a lovely stroll around the old region, seeing some beautiful architecture. Even the inside of H&M was a wonder to behold- one we would never have found on our own. The fort too was fabulous and Angela's grasp on Bulgarian history was great to hear. We went on to the…”
